Kurli

Stylist partner network

Get sent clients who already know what they want

Kurli shows someone the haircut that suits their face, renders it onto their own photo, and then asks where to get it. Partner stylists are who it points at. Applications are open worldwide.

Free to apply and free to be listed during the founding phase. No commission. A booking a client makes with you is yours.

The consultation Kurli is trying to improve: a client arriving with a picture that actually refers to their own head.

The client who walks in holding a photo of somebody else's hair

You know the appointment. The photo is of a different texture, a different density, and hair that has been styled for a shoot. Ten minutes go on explaining why it will not transfer, and the client leaves slightly disappointed no matter how good the cut is.

Kurli exists to move that conversation earlier. By the time somebody looks for a stylist, they have already seen four styles chosen for their own face, with a reason attached to each, and at least one of them rendered onto their own photo. They arrive with a specific request instead of a fantasy.

Then they ask where to get it. Today that question is answered by whichever salon Google ranks highest nearby, which knows nothing about who does curly cutting or skin fades. The partner network is how we fix that.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them involve us taking a cut

01

They decide what they want

Someone uploads a selfie. Kurli reads the face on their device, then recommends four styles that suit it, each with the reason why. One tap renders the style onto their own photo, so they see it on their head before they see any salon.

02

We match the cut to a stylist

We already know which style they chose. Partners tell us what they want to be booked for, in their own words, so the match starts with the work rather than the postcode. Distance narrows it after that.

03

They book with you, directly

Your profile carries your name, your area, your specialities, and a link to however you already take bookings. They leave Kurli and land on your page. We do not hold the calendar, the deposit, or a percentage.

What you get

Why this is different from a directory

You get matched by the cut, not just the postcode

Kurli already knows which style a person is about to ask for, because it just recommended it and rendered it onto their photo. Partners list the cuts, textures, and colour work they actually want more of, and we put you in front of the people asking for those.

The client arrives knowing what they want

They have seen the style on their own face before they message you. That is a shorter consultation, fewer 'something like this' photos of somebody else's hair, and less risk of a client leaving unhappy because the cut was never going to work on them.

Your booking link, your client, your money

We send people to the way you already take bookings. Kurli does not sit in the middle of the appointment, does not hold the payment, and does not take a cut.

Who it is for

Not only salons

A person holding a picture of the exact cut they want needs the right pair of hands, and those are not always behind a shopfront.

What we ask

Five things, and none of them cost money

  • You cut, colour, or style hair as your job, and you hold whatever licence or qualification your country or state requires.
  • You have one public way for a new client to book: your own site, a booking platform such as Booksy, StyleSeat or Fresha, a phone number, or a business Instagram.
  • You can show recent photos of work you did yourself.
  • You will answer a client who reaches you through Kurli within two working days, even if the answer is that you are full.
  • You work with real people in a real place, whether that is a salon chair, a barbershop, a home studio, or a mobile round.

Common questions

What does it cost to join?

Nothing to apply and nothing to hold a listing during the founding phase. There is no commission on bookings and no contract. If that ever changes, founding partners will be told directly and in advance.

How does Kurli decide which stylist to show?

The style comes first. Kurli already knows which cut the person chose, because it recommended it and rendered it onto their photo. Partners list the work they want more of, and we match on that, then on distance.

Do I need a website or a booking system?

No website is needed. A page on a booking platform such as Booksy, StyleSeat, Fresha, Squire, or Treatwell works, and so does a business Instagram if that is how you take enquiries.

Is this only for salon owners?

No. Chair renters, booth renters, mobile stylists, home-studio stylists, and part-time barbers are all welcome. What matters is that a new client can actually reach you and get an answer.

Which countries is this open to?

Applications are open worldwide. Kurli's site is in English, so an English-speaking contact is needed for now, but the client-facing side works anywhere a person has a phone.

Will I be sent my client's photo?

No. The photo belongs to them. Many people choose to show their stylist the try-on image when they arrive, but that is their decision rather than an automatic hand-off from us.

What if I disagree with the style Kurli recommended?

Then you are probably right, because you can see the density, the growth pattern, and the hairline that a photograph cannot. Kurli is a starting point for the consultation, not an instruction.

How many clients will the network send me?

We do not know, and we are not going to invent a figure. The network is in its founding phase. What we can tell you is exactly how the matching works, which is what these pages do.

How long does an application take to review?

A person reads every one, so give us a few days. We reply either way, including when the answer is no.

Can I leave?

Email us and the listing comes down. There is no notice period, no cancellation process, and nothing to pay.

Tell us what you want to be booked for

The application takes about three minutes. No account, no upload, no card details. A person reads it and replies either way.
